Trust Again

When it comes to work, trust is also important. This is something similar to that said in yesterday’s post, but if you doubt someone’s ability to do something, that doubt comes through, and it may just become a self-fulfilling prophecy.

Don’t pester people to get things done, especially when they say they will do them. Even if you’re on a deadline, that person should have a deep enough understanding of that, and they don’t need you to tell them every time you talk to them.

This is exactly what Abe-san at Zenpoji was saying yesterday. Don’t worry about the future, worry about living in the now. Trust that other people will live in the now too, and it will go ok. Trust that people will do the work assigned them on time. Trust people! Especially when it’s something you have absolutely no ability to do!

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Hi, I’m Tim Bunting AKA the Kiwi Yamabushi, a New Zealander who became a Yamabushi Ascetic in the Dewa Sanzan mountains of north Japan. I’m part of the Yamabushido team, and we host life-altering Yamabushi training on the Dewa Sanzan (website link). People come to us for the ultimate mindfulness experience, to reach the next level, or simply connect with nature and themselves.

I’m on a mission to summit all 100 Famous Mountains of Yamagata Prefecture to spread the splendour of this fabulous location, and in dedication to all those who lost their lives out in nature, including my father.

On my daily blog I post thoughts of a practicing Yamabushi that I hope people can use to better themselves and live as fulfilling a life as possible.
