Why everyone needs to go to the mountains

Why everyone needs to go to the mountains, or anywhere out in nature really. Mountains are particularly good not just because of the sights you see, but because they tire you.

Mountains you can climb at your own pace, which only you know is best for you. When you get to a certain stage of the climb, your focus changes to simply putting one foot in front of the other, and pushing forwards. This means your focus shifts from that of your everyday life, to that of your very existence.

It is in this stage of thinking of our existence, or not thinking of our everyday, that we gain insight into what life is really about for us. Do this on the regular, and you will never feel out of place.

There are a few rules for this of course. You have to keep quiet, you have to stop and show your appreciation to the sights around you for being the sights around you (Kami), and you have to give yourself enough time to do what you need to do.

Go to the mountains. You will not regret it.
