You got your back

If you’re not living on your own terms, whose terms are you living on?

You should never be in a position in which you have to rely on others. To get things done the way you want them, or to live on your own terms, sometimes you have to go so far as to ignore or disregard those closest to you. And that’s fine.

To live on your own terms means you must be self reliant. What most people either don’t realise, or don’t want to realise is that you got your back.

That you’re breathing is proof you’re alive, that you’ve made it this far, that you’ve relied on yourself to get here. That in itself is an achievement worth remembering, and worth taking into the future too. You got your back.
