23kgs

When you see this number, you know what it means right? That’s right, the maximum weight a suitcase can be on a flight.

Self control is a huge factor for humans. Without it, we wouldn’t be able to do much. And restrictions such as 23kgs help us stay in control too.

That’s why my suitcase isn’t as big as it could be. I knew that having a restricted size would limit the amount of stuff I could fit inside, so it would be harder for me to go over.

Of course we all need a bit of self control, and restrictions such as this make it easier to do so. Placing guidelines, with or without reason, helps us from the excess us humans are prone to doing.

Make it easier for yourself, place restrictions on your daily life where you could do a little better. I typically don’t eat between 8pm and 12pm the next day. I also don’t allow myself to buy snacks at the supermarket because I know I’ll just eat everything all at once. One other tip? Buy a smaller suitcase. It helps with the airline’s restrictions, and means you don’t go overboard when it comes to shopping.
