Agency and enrollment

person writing on notebook

Enrollment is imperative in education for education to do its job of inducing learning. No enrollment, no learning. Compulsory education is a bit of a misnomer for this fact.

Agency can be seen as a proxy form of enrollment. Giving someone a choice over how they proceed enrolls them in their learning.

So we need to provide our students with options of learning that allow them agency, that are also conducive to their learning.
