Disappointed? Or on the search for better? Seeking perfection in creative projects

The Autumn Leaves of Mount Taizo

There comes a time in creative projects where you realise you should have done something different. But should you be disappointed, or grateful that you’ve found somewhere you can improve? That’s the thing I love about creative projects. There is no perfect, and this means there is always something new you can try out, something new for you to improve.

For example, I’ve been putting together a video for my solo hike on Mt. Taizo (which was amazing by the way, as you’ll see when the video comes out). But only now do I realise that I should have filmed things other than me walking through the forest, however beautiful it is. It was also pointed out to me that I should vary the camera height to get different perspectives in, one that is sorely missing in the Mt. Taizo footage is a low-angle shot of my feet.
