For want of something to complain about

When you realise there are some parts of Japanese culture that you don't want to change simply for the fact that it will stop giving you a reason to complain about it, you know you're doing something wrong. There are some facets of Japanese culture that I think really should change, for example the unwarranted loyalty to the company and the accompanying low wages, but if they did change, I wonder if that would leave me satisfied? Of course I'd be happy for those who were positively effected by the change, but there's still part of me that doesn't want it, for want of something to complain about. I gotta take in the bigger picture, there's more to life than complaining!
