Have your own ideas

When you take on someone else's ideas as your own, you have to be responsible for them if they're coming through you. That's why it's always better to have your own ideas.

When you take action because of someone else's will, you have to be responsible for the consequences if it's you who's taking action. That's also why it's always better to have your own ideas.

It's much easier for us to take on the ideas of others, because at face value, we don't have to be responsible for them. But we do. The thing is, if your ideas aren't yours, they're someone else's, but you still have to take responsibility for them.
