Hell yes, or no but

For less consequential things

I agree in principle with ‘if it’s not a hell yes then it’s a no’, but I think there is an exception for things with far less consequences, and that doing these things more often than not can lead to desirable outcomes. When you’re deciding whether to go out or not, or whether to for example play a game or something, erring on the side of action isn’t such a bad idea.

Trying new things for the sake of them, seeing what you’re made of, going out on a limb, these are all things that come about precisely because we act. If something is not a hell yes because it makes you slightly uncomfortable, then this theory needs a bit of work. Discomfort is how we grow, and a blanket ‘no’ can put a stop to that if we let it. Best to play it by ear for less consequential situations.
