I could make that kick

How many times have you heard, or said, this during a sports game? Well, if you could make the kick, why don't you? Do you have what it takes to even make the team?

Often things are much more difficult than simply making a kick. Simply making the kick completely ignores the massive effort and sacrifice needed to get into that situation in the first place.

Which is to say, if you're in the position to make a kick, not only should you look back on all the effort and sacrifice it took to get there, but you should have practiced the kick enough that you don't even need to think about it.

Then you can truly make that kick.
