It’s a given

a person meditating

Is it?

Ask anyone who’s lost someone close to them suddenly, the day before they died, did you think they would still be here tomorrow?

I thought so. I thought I would be with them for many more years.

Some things are a given. Some things are replaceable.

But many things aren’t, and we need to treat them as so.
