It’s not your place

What was the last thing the drummer said before they got fired? ‘Hey guys, I’ve written a song.’

If you’re a drummer, you’re a drummer. A drummer's role is to keep the beat going. If you can't do that, you ruin the whole song, and it defeats the purpose of having a drummer in the first place.

When you're the interpreter, it's your job to interpret. Even if you can answer someone's question due to your domain knowledge, don't. It's not your place.

This is something I’ve learned first hand. When your roles are set, stick to them. Do them to the best of your ability. Just don’t do something out of place.
