Moderation is for losers

In the corner of the table of any Japanese kitchen, more likely near a tv, you will find a pile of snacks.

For someone who has grown up with them, they are a great lesson of self control. For someone who hasn't, they are a reminder that you need self control.

For me especially, I find it hard to control myself when the temptation to snack is right there. I have to have a zero or nothing policy, or else the floodgates open.

Which is why if I had my way, they wouldn't be there in the first place, they'd be back in the supermarket, but I can't manage to convince my wife otherwise.

So, I have to thank my wife for putting that temptation in the lounge of all places! It's a reminder that moderation is for losers. And what I mean by that, is that it makes it harder!
