More content for less quality? Or more quality for less content?

This blog is good because I can rid my ideas with relative frequency. It’s pretty easy to just put my ideas into this format. But some of the things I want to say, I can’t express in such a short format, so I take longer at putting them into words, like the blog posts for dewasanzan.com.

I’ve been thinking about this for video creation. Is it better to create a lot of content, but not worrying too much about the quality, or should I focus on creating good quality but taking much longer to do it? I’m not sure what the answer is, but I know I need practice.

I started making a video about the five story pagoda on Mt. Haguro, but while making it I realised that just explaining the facts probably wouldn’t be that interesting. I felt that it’d be better to give visiting the pagoda more context; so that people will feel more enticed to visit, which is the aim of the video. The problem with that is that it makes the video much longer, and might be boring for people. I guess the only way to find out is to make it and see.

In other words, I’ve decided that I’m going to focus on making the video the best quality I can first, and then I’ll try and make more of them in a similar way.
