Prepare as best you can

Tim Bunting Kiwi Yamabushi

When we had the earthquake and tsunami a few years back we all just in front of the TV for days on end. Before long, it got really tiring hearing all the bad news, and knowing nothing was really going to change, we made the brave decision to turn the tv off. It was the right decision in the end.

There's really no point worrying about things you have no control over. It simply wastes your time, and is time that is better spent elsewhere. Of course it's good to check up on news, but if something serious were to come, our phones will let us know.

Of course if I say this though, it looks like I'm underestimating the power of nature, but I'm truly not. I'm embracing it, and still preparing as best I can under the circumstances. A little more bad news here or there won't change much.
