Priorities

Yamabushi training is all about priorities. It's about setting your priorities, but it's done in a very simple manner. Essentially, you are forced to consider your highest priorities, or in this case priority. That priority of course, is survival. Multiple times you come face-to-face with the transience of life. This confrontation of your highest priority lets you appreciate life to the fullest. This appreciation in turn leads to the will to not simply survive, but to thrive. That's the secret behind Yamabushi training, and it's the main reason why I feel the whole world can benefit from it.

I recently heard some wise words from a friend that relate to this. Give anyone the desire to do something, and it can break you out of a depression. When you have something you absolutely feel you must do, it pushes you away from negative feelings and towards a feeling of progress.

So, your first priority is survival. Your second priority is basically to do what you want.

The hard part is finding that second priority, which I think comes about by trying different things and experimenting, maybe even writing a blog about it.
