Snow country

Where we live we get a lot of snow. In the past few days I’ve had to clear at least 20cm daily, and the roads and roofs are all covered in the stuff. Needless to say, we have to contend with this stuff that people in warmer climates only get to see on holiday. It really changes your opinion when you’re surrounded by it day in day out. But it is what you make of it.

If you complain about it, it doesn’t really help, and you’re going to have to deal with it anyway. If you’re like me though, and you embrace it, it’s actually quite fun. You can make it a challenge to clear the snow as fast as possible, or of course there is the easy access to mountains of snow for boarding or skiing. Also, it makes for some great landscapes. There are a lot of ugly old and dilapidated buildings out here, but the snow does a really good job of covering them, and you can get some really good shots.

Let’s see how my opinion changes after the winter though 🙂
