The Emperor’s enthronement ceremony

Today we had the emperor's enthronement ceremony. You might be aware, but Japanese ceremonies such as this are quite slow, and to be honest, boring. The enthronement ceremony was much the same, but it was cool seeing all the decorations and things. Japan has some pretty cool old school designs.

Well, we watched it on TV, and I was surprised that of the 6 channels we have, 5 of them were showing it. You may be surprised at how few channels there are, I think it's a ploy to control what people watch, but i guess they just really wanted people to watch it. Well, it's probably worth it since we got the day off 🙂
