When not to Uketamo

Tim Bunting AKA Kiwi Yamabushi on Zao-san

Avoid Premature Uketamo

Is there a time when it’s unwise to Uketamo? Sure, before the decision is made. Before it’s all over. Before the fat lady sings.

If something is unfair, unjust, or just doesn’t sit well with you, don’t meekly accept it. Challenge it, give yourself a fighting chance, see things through to their final conclusion. Once there truly is no going back, once things truly are up to chance, that’s when you can begin to Uketamo.

Uketamo after you’ve give your fighting best, never before. Give yourself the best chance possible. And if it doesn’t work out? Well, you know what to do.
