One trick for remembering vocabulary

Some words just stump you. Try as you might, they have a way of evading your long term memory.

Double down. Dig deeper. If it’s a word worth remembering (many aren’t), take a look at the etymology and history of the word. Create or find a story behind its meaning and use that to etch it in your long term memory.

Make it fun. Make it something you want to talk about to your friends. Make it interesting, and make it memorable.
