Just like a buddha

Why do babies look like buddha? Why do buddha look like babies? Which came first, the chicken or the egg? Does it have something to do with babies living entirely off instinct meaning they are in a state of enlightenment? Are buddha simply trying to replicate that state? How can we replicate that state?
