Question Everything that Gets Passed Down

I'm of the opinion that we should question everything that gets passed down through the ages. Some traditions become outdated, and hence irrelevant, and I think it's our job to get rid of these things. I don't believe in tradition for the sake of tradition. However, I believe in tradition if it holds certain benefits for modern humans. That's why when I say we should question everything that gets passed down, I'm not saying we should write it off. Test it first, and if it speaks volumes, let it. If it doesn't, consider getting rid of it. That way we can be sure that we improve as human beings.
