Strong players, strong team

Kane Williamson is the sort of player that can take a game away from the other team. His temperament is second to none, and he has the uncanny ability to play the situation well is basically any game. In last week’s game, however, he was all but effective, getting out very cheaply in both innings.

Even if your top performer has an off day, they still do a very important job of taking attention from other players in your team and tempting the other team to do unorthodox things.

Team sports are team sports though, and one strong player can only get you so far. Not only does the strong player need to be a strong player, they need to be a team player, showing sacrifice when necessary and leading by example. These are attributes that Kane Williamson holds that I think many of us, myself included, could learn a lot from to create a truly strong team.
