Although scary, although full of uncertainty, the field is your friend.

You learn much better when you have no choice but to put your knowledge to the test. The field is your opportunity to apply what you’ve learned beforehand, or learn on the go.

Every chance you have to get out to the field, is a chance you should embrace with open arms like the friend it is.
