Things to help you get through quarantine

  • Make your bed every morning. Have something relaxing to come back to at night.
  • Work. Do anything you can to help you pass the time productively.
  • Exercise. Every morning when you wake up, do some form of exercise. Yoga is great, it can really push you hard if you let it. Push ups and the like are also good options. Try an exercise challenge like the 21 day hip opening challenge, or Wim Hof’s breathing techniques. If you’re really into it, you can try cold showers too (make sure you’re medically fine to do so).
  • Limit your snacking to certain times, or even better, limit your eating by fasting. I’ve been doing intermittent fasting for years, only eating between 12 and 8. First no breakfast is tough, but you soon get used to it and realise you never needed it (make sure you’re medically fine to do so).
  • Have a task that you must do daily. One great one is blogging, it lets you get your thoughts out into the world in a productive way.
  • Talk to people. Find someone you haven’t talked to in a while and send them a message, or even better organize a video chat.
  • Read books rather than watching TV. Books require input from you. You can still watch tv, just keep an eye on how much.
  • Meditation is good for keeping calm and keeping in touch with reality.
  • Be creative. Find something you can make like a video or website or painting or such.
  • Be thankful. Think of three things daily that you are thankful for. This will help you appreciate your situation.
  • Get outside whenever you can, or at least open windows to let in fresh air.
  • Keep your room tidy. No clutter nor mess. There’s no excuse for it.

That’s about all i can think of for now. Quarantine isn’t easy, but it’s important and will be over before you know it. Use it productively and you’ll be just fine. It may not seem like it, but it will get easier.
