‘Done’ and ‘perfect’

It doesn’t have to be perfect, but it does have to be done.

Creativity requires repetition, not perfection.

Not waiting until it’s perfect, waiting until it’s done. Then shipping.

Thank you, next.

This means part of you needs to be a bit nonchalant about the whole thing. That once something is out in the world, it is no longer a part of you, that you aren’t too attached to it.

Once it’s out in the world, that is.

Until then, by all means attach yourself to the project, but do it with the assumption that once it’s done, i.e. not perfect, that it’s out the door.

Ali Abdaal says that the average YouTuber takes x amount of videos to gain x amount of followers.

Talk to me when you’ve made x amount of videos.

In the meantime, focus on getting things done.
