Realising and addressing our weaknesses

Mt. Kinbo during the winter

It takes guts to be able to critique yourself fairly and honestly. Sometimes we don’t realise our weaknesses, and sometimes we purposely stop ourselves from realising them too. We all know that we have our weaknesses, and every time we put something out into the world is a chance to address them.

Some of the wisest and most successful people I know are very critical about their creative endeavours, analysing things to the smallest detail. These two things are not mutually exclusive.

That’s why we need to come back day after day, and it’s why we need to look at ourselves sternly as well. If we aren’t doing anything to address our weaknesses, what are we?
