Mountains in Yamagata by Hiking Time

The mountains of Yamagata truly do offer something for everyone. There are overnighter hikes for the very serious, or some hikes that are literally a walk in the park. Here you will find hikes in Yamagata split into their duration.

Short hikes are less than one hour one-way, or thereabouts. Half-day hikes can be completed in about 4-5 hours. Full day hikes take at least 5 or 6 hours. And as the name suggests, overnighter hikes require a night on the mountain.
